Hello again! Welcome to our 'new' blog -- just moved to the *free* micro-typepad format and it's pretty nice actually!
I took a brief trip back to NYC a few weeks ago (actually my second visit since the big move) and it was great to be back. This is a view of the NY harbor from my cab ride the morning I arrived. I can't wait to go back in late January!

When I moved to New York in 2002 I managed to squeeze my entire life, everything I possessed and couldn't live without, into three large suitcases. Now Sarah and I are moving back to Seattle and we have squeezed our life into one 6' x 7' x 8' storage cube. Seems that my life has scaled appropriately.

NEWSFLASH! In case you didn't already know, Judah and I are moving to Seattle in May - well technically June since we leave May 1st and are taking a month-long cross-country road trip to get there. I'm leaving my job in less than 3 week which is very surreal since I've been working there for almost 6 years. Today I'm working on cleaning up my computer files and emails. Fun!
Today we ventured to the apple store so I (Sarah) could pick up a new iPhone. It was pretty simple but we did get there pretty early. Judah ended up getting a free replacement phone since his was acting up. All hail nice mac geniuses!
So this is old news for some, but last month Judah proposed to Sarah (me!). The proposal involved an amazing scavenger hunt Judah created for me through Park Slope and ending up in near the Prospect Park boathouse. It was really nice because he knows how much I love surprises and solving mysteries etc.
At the end, being the nerds we are, we planted a geocache that Judah had prepared near our engagement spot. If you are also a nerd and you have a gps unit you can find it here!

Ok - i'm back from Jury Duty. That was exciting. I was called on Wednesday to be part of a potential jury pool for a civil case regarding a traffic accident. They picked 4 people but didn't finish the questioning by the end of the day. So we all had to return in the morning to finish up. By the grace of god I wasn't picked. I gave myself a slight eye twitch. Possibly that helped. And then I didn't get called again and they let us out at 3pm. The end.
